On the Way Cafe grew out of my desire to offer people a healthy source of fresh organic food for the body and soul. In 26 years of study and work in the fields of natural healthcare and nutrition I developed the conviction that the most efficient path to good health was through a pure, nourishing organic diet.

I have been a lifetime student pursuing knowledge in areas of life that I love: food, health, community and wellness. On the Way Cafe is an integration of all these areas into a single vision, a vision that includes memories of smells that lured us to the kitchen, where friends and family gathered, aromas of spices and herbs that have stayed with us since our childhoods, people relaxed and talking while sharing a home made meal. On the Way Cafe desires to reestablish a tradition of home cooked meals and joyful eating by creating a place where people can go to relax and socialize around food. On the Way Café will be an extension of the lessons and experiences of my life. I invite everyone to visit this unique space to sample and take pleasure in the nourishing combination of homemade ingredients, healthy intentions and communal atmosphere. Our bodies and spirits want to heal themselves. On the Way Cafe is a place where that journey can begin.

My journey began in the early 1980s with the study of holistic nutrition as an outgrowth of my work in theareas of naturopathic and homeopathic medicine. As the years passed I became focused on therapies that incorporated all aspects of the body, mind and spirit.

I became a certified massage therapist and completed training as a Reiki Master teacher as well as a Cranial Sacral Therapist. In addition, I trained in different modalities of healing including Dark field microscopy, enzyme therapy, “The European Biological Medicine Series” with Dr. Thomas Rau and more.

The unifying theme of the various studies I have undertaken is the crucial role that pure, clean wholesome food plays in nurturing our physical, spiritual and emotional health. It is upon this belief that On the Way Cafe is firmly built. As you travel your own personal path toward health and wellness, I will provide you with organic, clean and nutritious food that will support your journey. ~ Jill Check
